Techno/electro hardware liveset
Hardware for me is not for showing off, I feel that it leaves me with the best compromise of planning the patterns ahead and then responding in the moment or even jamming by rewriting the patterns and adjusting the sounds on the fly and intuitively.
The following machines are used: Octatrack for mixing and as a sampler, AnalogFour synthesizer, which also plays the 0Coast semi-modular synth, AnalogRytm including samples for fat kicks, and Digitone for atmospherical FM synthesis. All of this flows through a mastering chain in Ableton Live to guarantee a fat, well-mixed sound.
Jagdbann is my fresh hardware live set that combines well picked elements of driving techno, acid-infused electro, with a touch of spaced-out electronica. My focus with this project is entirely on the dance floor: it’s particularly important to me to keep the energy high, the tracks dancable and to create a varied dramaturgy throughout the set.
